The Riverina Wildlife Health Project has characterised the sociological dimensions of community participation in wildlife health and now provides this purpose built platform that serves two broad purposes:
- Acts as a portal for any member of the public to report a wildlife disease incident (and relevant data), and for that reporter to then receive tailored advice on what to do in response to the incident;
- Is a community space for activity and knowledge sharing relating to wildlife health.
Our project is a pilot, based in the Riverina region of NSW, which is of interest as a model for a State, multi-State or National community participatory system.
